We pay special attention to find the best grapes. Always searching for the best possible locations for growing grapes, we have stumbled across a few great vineyards.
Flocchini Family Estate. The first Vineyard we found was the Flocchini Family Estate vineyard in Petaluma. This vineyard is nestled in the foothills of the Sonoma coast appellation just three miles north of the San Pablo Bay and 3 miles from the Carneros region. The vineyard itself sits in a cooler climate area which is perfect for growing Pinot Noir. The soil is very rich and nutritious which comes from years of dairy farming. The combination of the rich soil and cooler climate gives birth to some excellent Pinot Noir.
Louvau Vineyards. John and Linda Louvau bought their Dry creek property in 1988 believing that it would be ideal for growing grapes. However, they were not the first to think so. The Louvau Vineyard is comprised of revitalized 70 year old vines combined with newer vines planted in 1991. The Vineyard itself is nestled in the Dry Creek Bench where well drained river bench land soils (Manzanita gravely loam) mix clay, gravel and volcanic matter. These soils help produce vines with concentrated fruit as opposed to vegetation. The vines are head trained and low to the ground where they receive reflected sunlight. This vineyard is the source of our Dry Creek Zinfandel program and a part of our Zendagio blends.
The Louvau's secondary property located in the Santa Rosa area of Russian River valley produces our Sauvignon Blanc.
Our average annual wine production is 2000 cases. Small production runs enable us to focus on bringing out the best flavor in each of our wines, resulting in the ultra-premium quality of each bottle. In addition to our Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, our production includes a Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and a limited production Red blend called Zendagio.
